Wash your hands before eating and after using the bathroom.
Wash your hands with soap and warm water, hand sanitizer, or alcohol wipes.
Clean and disinfect areas that are shared like doorknobs, telephones, countertops, toilets, remote controls, or any other item that people touch.
Cover coughs and sneezes with your shirt sleeve or tissue, wear a mask, clean your hands with antibacterial wipes and try staying at least 6 feet away from others.
Recognize flu symptoms- fever, runny nose, sore throat,
dry cough, headache, weakness and fatigue, nausea or vomiting, and pain in muscles and joints.
Isolate yourself or family member from other family members especially if there is a baby or infant in the home. You or family member also need to be isolated away from the elderly. These two classes of individuals have low immune systems.
Get treatment and medications that will help fight off the flu symptoms.
